May ‘22 Update

A warm welcome to the Find Me Sales May update as we move towards the Summer months. We’ve been busy rolling out the new automation features to existing users ahead of the public launch at the beginning of June and today we’ll discuss some of the exciting features that will ship with launch. We’ve also been attending plenty of workshops and events for the Barclays Eagle Labs Accelerator and the Natwest Entrepreneur Accelerator. Finally we’ll take a look at the accuracy improvements we’ve made to the Gather API, which finds and reads a lead’s website. We’ll also share with you what we have planned looking forward.

Automation Trials

Automation features have been rolled out to select users for trials and we are on track for a full release after the Platinum Jubilee weekend. Automation helps you automate your workflow when completing sales outreach to your leads. You can now create automation flows that will prompt you with actions to take to build the sales relationship. Clicking on an action takes you to complete the task, freeing you up to focus on more important work. Initial actions include following or commenting on social media or sending a specific email template, with the ability to specify time delays between actions. We have plenty more planned and you can find out more as we launch the product fully over the next few weeks.

Accelerators

We’ve just completed the intensive phase of Barclays Eagle Labs, where we took part in workshops run by the Capital Enterprise team. Workshops explored funding, business models and routes to market. We were invited to apply for one-to-one pitch deck analysis and mentoring - and we’re happy to say that we have been selected for the additional support through June. We have also been making use of the Natwest Entrepreneur Accelerator Hub, attending community events with other business owners from the cohort and workshops on sales. We’re happy to have welcomed so many of the other cohort members to the Find Me Sales platform and thank them for the amazing feedback.

Gather API Improvement

Our Gather API finds and reads a lead’s website when you analyse it in Leadsearch. We were happy with the accuracy before, but there is always room for improvement and that’s what we devoted some time to this month. We cleaned up a number of specific cases that affected a limited number of search results, like the use of ordinals (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) that was throwing the algorithm. We reanalysed the small number of affected websites and were happy to report to users about the fix. We’re always looking to improve the service so please reach out if you think of anything.

Looking forward

With automation nearing its full release, we are free to work on the next feature: Monitor. Monitor allows you to automate the reading of Twitter profiles and gives you an alert when your chosen keywords are mentioned. We’ll find time in June to make some upgrades to Leadsearch - our database that helps you search and filter all UK businesses. We’ve also been invited to a new accelerator program, but it’s so new that it doesn’t even have a name yet! We look forward to sharing more exciting developments with you next month.
