October 22 Update
Greetings, and thank you for taking the time to stay up to date with Find Me Sales! This month has seen some exciting new features, but it’s mainly been about scaling what we have for existing users. One of the bigger new features is email verification. On the scaling front, we’ve been improving the Leads page to handle thousands of leads. Our favourite moment of the month was passing 500 followers on LinkedIn - a big thank you if you’re one of them! Finally, we received $100,000 of cloud credits from Amazon’s AWS Activate program. When our Gather AI reads a website, it looks out for emails that might help you reach that business. Unfortunately, there are so many formats that emails can take, that we were getting false positives, especially around some media files. We also found that many email addresses that are listed on a business site don’t work at all as their server may be down or they didn’t renew their domain. We’ve been trying to perfect this for a while, so we made the decision to verify all email addresses when we find them by pinging the server for a response. This seems to be working much better, and we’re happy to be able to give you the right email address first time.
When the first users started finding leads on Find Me Sales, they were averaging a few hundred leads a month. We now have users that are approaching or have exceeded 1000 leads, which is slowing down the experience on some pages. We knew this moment was coming, and had a plan in place, but it came sooner than we could have imagined. So, we spent time this month making sure that Find Me Sales can handle an infinite amount of leads, and are happy to say that the work is paying off and will be shipped in the next few weeks. This will bring significant speed increases to power users, and benefit all other users too!
One of our biggest go-to-market strategies has involved LinkedIn content marketing as a way to reach sales people and business owners. We try to put out one or two posts a week sharing what new developments have happened at Find Me Sales or events and programs we’ve attended or joined. We’re very happy to report that we hit 500 users this month, something we celebrated with a post to thank each and every one. As part of the Digital Catapult Machine Intelligence Garage program, Find Me Sales has been streamlined onto the Amazon Web Services Activate Program. This gives us multiple benefits, with the most game-changing being up to $100,000 in Amazon Cloud Credits. This enables us to spend more time trying new things on new servers, and should see more of the advanced features on our development road map materialise quicker and in a faster form. We also get to attend events and receive additional support as part of the program.
We are excited to continue refining and improving the Find Me Sales product with our clients over the next few months. We have a number of advanced features that are rumbling on in the background and should be ready for release relatively soon. We have some events that we’re attending to meet people in person, that we will share with you soon. We’re also planning some more big changes to make Find Me Sales more open and easier to use, and we look forward to sharing them with you in the next update. Until then, have an amazing November!
